Continued Success
From the Desk of Bill Spencer
New President of the Brotherhood
Administration from Florida International University
Miami.  Greg is employed by PlanMember
FinancialCorporation, as a Business Development
Specialist. Greg is well equipped to handle the job of
Treasurer, and I look forward to working with him.
Many thanks to Johnny Tarver, our previous
Treasurer, for his many years of  service.

I would like to insure that the Brotherhood continues
to be seen as a grass roots organization, of black
African Americans in the Santa Barbara community.
I envision incorporating community forums into the
fabric of the Brotherhood organization. The Town
Hall Meeting (last held September 23rd) serves as a
prototype for a way in which we can engage the
community in meaningful discussions.

In the past we have run programs to advance the
causes of the underserved people in our
community, and I feel we need to strengthen this
area of our commitment.

I look forward to working with all of you, and hope I
can count on your support, allowing the Brotherhood
to continue as a notable and worthy cause for the
Santa Barbara community.
This year marks changes for
the Brotherhood.  A smooth
transition in leadership has
occurred. Derrick Curtis, who,
took the Brotherhood off the
charts with the many
accomplishments that
occurred under his excellent
leadership has assumed the role of Vice President.
Thank you Derrick for your continued support.

Besides myself there are another two new
members to the Board of Directors.  Anthony
Johnson ( AJ) has joined the Board.  AJ has over 20
years of television and film industry experience.
Anthony has served as Director of Production &
Operations for Black Entertainment Television (BET),
and was responsible for writing the original
business plan for the BET On Jazz Channel.  We're
excited to have AJ on board and look forward to his
continued efforts in  elevating the Brotherhood to
new heights.

Greg Marsh joins the Board and has taken on the
position of Treasurer. Greg currently resides in
Santa Barbara by way of Altamonte Springs, Florida
where he received his Bachelor of Business
